Plymouth Focus

The main work of Plymouth Focus at this time is quality advice and information to individuals across the city. Plymouth Focus Advice Centre operates similar to a local Citizens Advice Bureau and focuses on welfare benefits, debts and housing issues. Many individuals are unaware of the benefits they are entitled to and often feel trapped in debt with ‘no light at the end of the tunnel’. The Advice Centre seeks to offer individuals fresh hope as they try to rebuild their lives.

Colin Trend, Project Manager and a member of City Church says ‘It is a privilege to help many people at their lowest point. When individuals come to the project they often have bailiffs at their doors or have an eviction next week. They are desperate and don’t know where to turn to. Just to see people leave with a load taken from their lives is an incredible and rewarding experience!’
